Our Story

Kim and Daniel’s story began in the most fitting of places, the Knox Basketball Stadium. Kim was out on the court with her team, The Strugglers, and Daniel was the referee. What started as a simple game of Married Women's basketball quickly turned into something much more.
 

In 2011, they shared their first kiss, a moment that quietly marked the beginning of a lifelong partnership, even if neither of them realised quite how far it would go.
 

Just two years later, in September 2013, they welcomed their beautiful daughter Chelsea into the world.  She became the final piece of their family, joining Oscar and Grace who were the centre of so many adventures, milestones, and memories they would go on to share.
 

Over the years, Daniel has been the romantic soul of the pair, the one dropping hints, nudging timelines, and gently (or not-so-gently) campaigning for a wedding.  Kim, in her wonderfully straightforward, no‑nonsense way, and stubborn way, held firm… until finally, she gave in. And when she did, it wasn’t about giving up, it was about saying yes to the life they’d already been building together.

Their journey hasn’t been perfect, but it has been real, loving, and full of laughter and now, after all this time, they’re ready to celebrate the life they’ve created with the people who’ve been part of it along the way.
